I’ve been clearing out some of my online storage and came across a PDF of a conference planning checklist put together by Brown Conference Services “to plan and coordinate a successful event at Brown University.” It’s a useful checklist, but a lot of the guidance was quite specific to that university, including naming people, local services, and online resources.
I wanted something simpler, more generic, and more up-to-date. And I wanted it to be editable.
Prompt: Take the attached conference planning checklist and duplicate it in a markdown table. Make it simpler and more generic so that it’s appropriate for anyone organising a conference. I also want you to enhance it however you see fit. Be creative and innovative.
Here’s an example of some of the output (download the full PDF). It’s not perfect, but because it’s markdown it’s trivial to edit. Just another example of using generative AI to do something that would be time-consuming without it.
