Trying to get better at getting better

https://electricbookworks.com/thinking/publishing-websites-for-impact/

This is such a great post from Arthur Atwell at Electric Book Works. I have so many thoughts on how I want to use these ideas, but the main one is that all of our teaching materials should be web-first. I’ve captured the list, but you really should read the full post by Arthur.

  1. Web books are Google-friendly.
  2. Web books are mobile-friendly.
  3. Web books can be members-only.
  4. Web books can track what people like (ethically).
  5. Web books can be shared on social media.
  6. You can link to specific sections of web books.
  7. You can easily make web books interactive.
  8. You can update web books at any time.
  9. Web books can update themselves in real time.
  10. Web books can invite and collect qualitative feedback.
  11. Web books are voice-assistant friendly.
  12. Web books can switch between languages.
  13. Web books are faster.
  14. Web books are accessible to everyone.
  15. Web books are pro-poor.
  16. Web tools make repurposing cheaper.
