I’m really excited to share this introduction to a new In Beta podcast series that I’m going to be working on with Ben Ellis, as part of a new module he’s creating.
This module takes a radical departure from traditional course design by embracing co-creation and student-led learning. Instead of predetermined content, students will identify their own learning needs based on their clinical experiences and collaboratively create the module’s content. This approach aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and clinical practice, preparing students for the realities of continuous professional development after graduation.
This episode is the first in a series of conversations Ben and I will be having, alongside a group of innovative educators, to help guide his thinking and planning for the module. In essence, Ben is developing the module in public, inviting input from colleagues to both challenge and support the process.
I’m really excited about this project and hope it leads to many stimulating conversations over the next few months.
