I’ve used the Lex writing app a few times for putting together a draft of longer pieces, when I would previously have gone to Google Docs. I like the experience and the interface, and have always enjoyed the experience.
They’ve just put out an update to the product, called Checks. Checks will basically review your writing and make suggestions to improve it, which is a nice addition.
This is a feature already available in Google Docs, Word, etc. but it’s worth noting that those applications are produced by multi-billion dollar companies, and Lex is produced by a guy called Nathan. Skip to 2:22 in the video to see the demo of this new feature.
If you’ve never used a writing app with an AI-assistant built in, I encourage you to watch the video above before trying it out.
