I was struck by how much our understanding of emotional context is, in some ways, limited by language. The words we use to describe how we feel – and how others feel – don’t (maybe can’t) get us close enough to the nuance of what we really understand.
It’s also a reminder that, to me at least, we’re all running algorithms all the time…we just don’t call them that.
