Personal update

  • Met with a PhD student to discuss the work plan for her final submission.
  • Prepared some draft guidance for staff in my school, around a few specific issues in our digital transformation project.
  • Completed my annual review, including plans for the 2024-2025 academic year, and discussed with my line manager.
  • Booked my Life in the UK test, which is the first step towards residency.
  • I’ve been really pleased with the feedback and uptake of my Generative AI for Academics course.
  • I’ve spent few days in and around Vacallo in Switzerland, facilitating a couple of workshops on AI in health professions education for colleagues in the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI). Vacallo is near Como in Italy, where I took the photo above.
