			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I recently watched &#8220;<a href="http://www.youtube.com/user/mwesch#p/u/2/TPAO-lZ4_hU" target="_blank">An anthropological introduction to YouTube</a>&#8220;, a 56 minute long insight into some of the amazing stories being told through the social video site.  While there are many great ideas, these quotes caught my attention:</p>
<ul>
<li>YouTube is about new forms of expression, new forms of community and new forms of identity</li>
<li>It is a celebration of new forms of empowerment&#8230;a celebration of new and unimaginable possibilities</li>
<li>&#8220;Media&#8221; mediates human relations&#8230;when media change, relations change</li>
</ul>
<p>If you&#8217;re interested in the changing nature of communication and identity that the internet is facilitating, this is a great way to spend an hour.</p>
